I’m astounded by the love, support, and prayers from friends, family – and strangers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and thank you, especially for your willingness to read and share Bob’s story so we can find him a living donor.
For almost 30 years, I’ve watched Bob quietly manage CKD. I honestly don’t know how he’s so gracefully steered his way through work, travel, a major move, two knee replacement surgeries, a cancer diagnosis (he’s cancer-free). So often, he’s had to navigate life with painful, debilitating gout too.
When people learn that he needs a kidney transplant, their immediate reaction is “you would never know he’s sick!” That’s because he’s never let his illness define him.
This man, the love of my life, is selfless. When someone needs help, he’s the first to show up. But he is the last to ask for a hand when he needs it.
He’s one of the most talented IT professionals in the business; his curiosity for technology, music, food, and wine knows no bounds. He inspires so many, and his sense of humor is a treasure. He’s my rock, my best friend, and my soulmate. I want him to be here for as many more memories as we can make together, with our sweet pup Cooper and our families.
Please consider learning more, and sharing Bob’s story so he can continue to make all our lives happier and brighter. Love and light to you all.
XO BARB
